At No Limits Fitness, we are filled with members that make healthy changes and inspiring transformations. July’s Client Spotlight is no exception and we think you will find her story inspiring!
Alexis shows up to Boot Camp with a smile on her face and ready to work. She’s a full time working mom (with a young daughter) and she finds the time to make herself and her health a priority. What a great role model she is for not only her daughter but her students! Way to go, Alexis!
Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote?
A: “Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it’s very important that you do it because nobody else will.” Ghandi
Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals?
A: 6 pull ups to pass the level 4 test and run a mile in under 10 minutes nonstop. I started at 16+ minutes and I’m currently at 11:38. My long term goal is to weigh between 160 & 170lbs. I’m half way there!
Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?
A: My daughter and just simply seeing a difference in my body. Also, Mike, Davina, and Myrna don’t let me slack. They push me to my limits which keeps me going. Sorry that’s more than one….I learned to follow directions from Mike 🙂
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?
A: I’m a high school Algebra 1 teacher, varsity cheerleading coach, and Michigander (Go Green). I love the Green Bay Packers. I joined No Limits in October when I noticed I reached my plateau and needed a change in my routine.
Q: How has No Limits Fitness made a difference in your life?
A: No Limits has boosted my confidence. I actually like how I look in the mirror. The trainers have pushed me in ways I never imagined. I can do so many exercises I never thought I could do…like a 26in. box jump.
Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far?
A: I’m officially under 200lbs. I have passed 3 FitRanX tests and I’m currently training for Level 4. My run times have decreased.
Q: What made you decide to want to join No Limits Fitness?
A: I had reached my plateau and I also saw the results Darwin (another No Limits’ member) was getting.
Q: What kinds of results have you achieved so far?
A: My first goal was to weigh less than 200lbs.
Q: What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?
A: Do it! What do you have to lose?
Q: What is your “word” of the year?!
A: Sacrifice. It’s easy to make excuses on why not to do something. If we want certain things in life, it takes sacrifice to get it.
We are incredibly proud of you, Alexis! Keep up the amazing work.
