Rebekah joined No Limits Fitness in November with the goal of a wedding transformation before her special day in October. Eleven months later her body composition had significantly improved as she got stronger and lost body fat.
The part she did not expect was starting to enjoy the workouts. She had spent years avoiding big box gyms because she didn’t enjoy training at all.
Why I Joined
My name is Rebekah. I’m a 28-year-old who works a corporate lifestyle. And I got started with No Limits Fitness last year in November. I wanted to get in shape for my wedding, which is in October of this year.
My Wedding Transformation
The main milestone that I’ve kind of achieved here while at No Limits Fitness is just feeling better about myself in general. I’ve seen my body composition totally changed. I’ve lost weight. I’ve lost body fat. But more than anything else, I just feel better about myself.
My body composition is exactly where I’d like it to be. And I feel like from this point on, I can move forward in a much healthier way and feel more confident about my fitness and my health journey in the future.
What Was Going On Before
So before I joined the gym, I lost my father, which was a really significant thing that occurred in my life. It really kind of put me in a bad shape both physically and mentally. And joining this gym and having people I can rely on to make sure that I’m not only looking out for my physical health, but also coming here being present and staying consistent got my mental health journey back where it needed to be.
I Don’t Like The Gym
So, the funny thing about me is I don’t like the gym. It was one of the things that always kept me from going to big box gyms was the fact that I just didn’t really enjoy the gym, didn’t really enjoy doing physical activity. So, coming here, finding a group that I love to work out with, and finding out that I love the activities we do to workout has totally changed my perspective on the gym in general.
How I Stay Motivated
I think the one thing that keeps me motivated is not just the coaches who are very very helpful at making sure you come when you’re supposed to come, but it’s also just the changes that I’ve seen and the ability to ask for when I need help and that they help me get to those changes. And just seeing the change in my body composition, I just don’t want to stop because I know what it can look like in the future because I’ve seen the changes in just 11 months.
how To STay Consistent
The consistency here. It’s the fact that every week there’s the same people who come, who show up, who are happy about getting to the gym, and that you’re all consistently working out together. It’s a journey. You can’t just do the gym for four or five months and then expect those changes to last forever. I know that these people will help me get to my future goals and set me up for my future health and fitness.
If You’re On The Fence
It is absolutely normal to be on the fence about joining anything, especially one where it’s an investment into your future. But the best thing you can do is just try. And I think that if you’re coming from a position like I was where maybe you weren’t in the best mental health or best physical health, this is the perfect time to try. When you’re kind of down on your luck and you’re not feeling great about yourself, that’s the perfect time to try. Just getting here is the very first step. And then if you talk to our coaches and you talk to the members of this gym, you’ll see why you want to stay.
Rebekah did not walk in loving the gym. If you’re anything like her, you simply may not have found the right environment with the right people.
Or if you’re ready to make your own wedding transformation, we’d love to help
