We are pleased to introduce Kim Lyons as our August Client Spotlight. She has been attending our 5:15 am boot camp classes for the last 6 months. Her commitment and successes are inspiring.
She mentions in the following Q & A that she owes it all to NLF and we would like to point out that Kim did all of the hard work and deserves the credit! Those that workout besides her, know her level of dedication to her goals and appreciate her supportive nature. Kim is a fantastic cheerleader not just for herself, but for other NLF members. We are happy she decided to join our No Limits Fitness Family! Read on to hear how Kim found success and made herself a priority.
Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote?
A: She believed that she could, so she did.
Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals?
A: I wanted to be thinner, stronger and healthier both mentally and physically. I have 2 children with busy schedules. I was living on caffeine and wasn’t taking care of myself. I really didn’t feel good, and was always tired. I didn’t like how I was feeling. I had lost weight before but I put it all back on and lost the motivation until I saw Mike’s ad for the 6 week challenge so I signed up!
Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?
A: I knew Mike from our kids school. I have a 10 year old and a 5 year old. He offered up a free 7 Day Challenge which included a meal plan and exercise goals. I figured, why not? I lost 6lbs in a week. After the 7 Day Challenge, I started a 3 month online program and lost a total of 18lbs. Then I started working and stopped working out and eating right and I gained it all back. Classic story.
In February, I was scrolling through Facebook and saw my post from last year. I wanted to get back to being that size again. (2 sizes smaller in fact!) I signed up for the 6 week challenge. I worked so hard, came to NLF anywhere from 3-5 days a week and had great results. I was hooked, so I officially joined the No Limits family!
Q: How has No Limits Fitness made a difference in your life?
A: It has changed my life so much. I never would have thought I would get up at 4:20 in the morning to do a Bootcamp workout! I can tell the days that I don’t go. I am a better mom, wife and employee. My stress is so much less. I’m calmer. I feel great and I have so much more energy. The trainers at No Limits Fitness really care about you and your goals. It feels awesome when you finally master a move and they tell you how strong you look doing it. It’s the most amazing feeling. Each day, I look forward to receiving my text messages and motivating quotes from my accountability coach.
Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far?
A: At my best I lost 19lbs (which I had never been able to do previously) and 7% of my body fat. I am down 2 pants sizes and have toned up my entire body.
I get compliments from people that first asked me why I was doing it and now they ask me how I did it!
Q: What made you decide to want to join No Limits Fitness?
A: I decided to join because I loved the results I was getting. Granted, there were weeks when I plateaued, worked hard, ate well and didn’t lose a thing. I kept at it and the next week, I was down 4 pounds. My clothes started to get looser and people were beginning to notice. I started making myself accountable by posting on FB my results and that kept me on track. I started motivating others around me to get healthy and helping to keep them motivated on their journey, and that is awesome!
Q: What kinds of results have you achieved so far?
A: I’ve lost 19 pounds, 7% body fat loss and 2 pants sizes down! Plus my mood, stress level and energy level are so much better. I look and feel great and I owe it all to NLF.
Q: What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?
A: If you are on the fence about joining my advice would be do it for you! Don’t do it for your husband or partner, family or anyone but yourself. When you do it for you, you feel the pride and elation when you achieve your goals. Be sure to set goals. It feels amazing when you achieve one goal, set another, then another. You will see your body change for the better, the weight come off and your energy level will soar! It isn’t easy, believe me. After week one you may be sore but you will be feeling awesome, loving the NLF trainers and the workouts! You need to keep trying. Remember, YOU are worth it!
Q: What is your “word” of the year?!
We are so incredibly proud of you, Kim! Keep up the amazing work!
