This month’s spotlight, Eric, has a full schedule and still decided to make his health a priority.
After training off and on for a while, Eric realized he achieved his best results at No Limits Fitness. And his results and his commitment to his health, are amazing!
Not only has Eric been hitting his goals, he’s a great role model for his son, Sean who works out with him at No Limits Fitness. We know you will find his results and his reasons very inspiring. Way to go, Eric!
Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote?
A: “You Are Never Too Old To Set Another Goal Or To Dream A New Dream.” – C.S. Lewis
Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals?
A: My personal health and fitness goals are to do everything in my power to keep my body in a healthy state, and to stay fit enough to be able participate in any activity as I get older and older.
Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?
A: The desire to feel healthy and in shape is probably the number one factor. Since working out at NLF, I feel so much healthier and better about myself.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?
A: I have two wonderful children, Skye and Sean, and have been married for 19 amazing years to Mandy Snyder. I am currently a contractor for the government as a Subject Matter Expert in aviation maintenance.
I got started with NLF in 2018 when my wife told me about this “Boot camp” that she had found, and I was immediately interested. I completed the boot camp, and had great results, but I quickly fell back into my old habits. So, in August of this year, I rejoined the NLF family and have been going strong ever since!
Q: How has No Limits Fitness made a difference in your life?
A: The difference in my life now, compared to before I was working out at NLF, is how much healthier I feel on a consistent basis. The workouts at NLF are amazing. When I first started, I literally felt like I was going to die after each session, but now I feel like I could do two classes in a row sometimes.
Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far?
A: During my first boot camp back in 2018 I weighed my heaviest ever at 259lbs, I lost about 30lbs, and I was so happy. After the boot camp I quit going for about a year. When I joined back this past August, I was 243lbs. I am currently down to 218lbs, and continue to lose weight. My ultimate goal is to get below 200lbs.
Q: What made you decide to join No Limits Fitness?
A: The decision to join NLF was solely based on the fact that I needed to lose a lot of weight, and I was unsuccessful doing it on my own. I was intrigued by the group based training and the high intensity style of the workouts. From day one, I was hooked.
Q: What was the obstacle that almost prevented you from joining?
A: Lack of motivation and thinking that I was ok in my current health status (denial), were probably the biggest obstacles.
Q: What has exceeded your expectations since joining?
A: I think the discipline of eating healthy on a consistent basis has really exceeded my expectations of myself. Don’t get me wrong, I do have my cheat days every now and then, and I can definitely feel it when I do.
Q: What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?
A: I would tell them that it’s not as hard as one might think, it just takes the “want and drive” to be able to follow through with it. Also, the NLF team does exceptionally well at motivating and helping people accomplish what ever goals they want to achieve.
