Ashley Emshoff’s spotlight is going to blow you away! Her gains, losses, and change in mindset are incredibly inspiring.
Like many other potential members, she was put off by the cost and felt like she could work out on her own. A change in her mindset, realizing the cost of self-care and bettering her health, would save her money in the future changed everything.
She’s crushing her goals, and achieving big milestones! What an amazing example of consistency and dedication. Way to go, Ashley!
Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote?
A: Dream big, work hard, make it happen & Be stronger than your excuses.
Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals?
A: My main goal was to be healthy enough to not need my high blood pressure medicine and I already have! My current fitness goal is to be able to do 10 unassisted pull ups by the end of the year. In the near term, I’d like to be able to get through a whole workout that includes pushups, and be able to do the pushups on my toes.
Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?
A: Everyone else’s support!
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?
A: I’ve fluctuated in weight since I can remember. More recently, I was dieting and working out like I always had but was not seeing any changes. That’s when I learned my adult body needs a different approach to lose weight. Then I saw on Facebook, a picture of Diana at No Limits Fitness and I told myself I have to try it out! Joining No Limits worked! My body changed in different ways than it ever had! I typically would lose weight in my waistline and arms but this time around I’ve seen the biggest changes in my legs!
Q: How has No Limits Fitness made a difference in your life?
A: No Limits has helped me maintain consistency throughout all aspects of my life. Because I enjoy the classes so much, it forces me to plan my day around a session time. Now I am able to make sure I have time to go to work, walk the dogs, workout, and still have time to relax at the end of the day.
Also, when I walk up the stairs at work, I don’t breathe heavy anymore!
Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far?
A: My first milestone was on my birthday, I told myself I wanted to be under 200lbs and I was 197!
Then the next milestone I hit was this past month, I’ve officially lost 50lbs since starting at No Limits. When I first joined No Limits, Davina asked me what my goal was and I told her I wanted to be able to shop at the non-plus size clothing stores or sections. Last week, I was able to buy size 10 jeans and Medium tank top at Target!
Q. What made you decide to join No Limits Fitness?
A: The people!
Q. What was the obstacle that almost prevented you from joining?
A: The cost. I have a gym in my garage with a lot of the same equipment we use in class and thought I could work out on my own and avoid paying a monthly membership. I soon realized working out on my own just wasn’t cutting it so I decided my health was more important than the cost.
Q. What has exceeded your expectations since joining?
A: The fact that I’ve seen such drastic results so quickly!
Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?
A: In Shia LaBeouf’s voice, “JUST DO IT!”
But seriously, it shouldn’t be a hard decision, if you change to a healthier lifestyle, you’ll be around longer to enjoy your life.
